He Designed a Dinner That Would Ruin Me. I Read It Three Times.

The Narcissist Cave

Chef Anthony published his required dinner menu from the kitchen here at Mistress Lynne's Lair, and I want to be precise about what happened to me when I read it. I did not react with shock. I did not react with moral objection. I read it the way a man reads a document that names him specifically without using his name — slowly, carefully, twice, and then a third time because the third time is always when you admit the thing you were circling. The first course is linguine with Mistress Lynne's menstrual blood and fresh basil, priced at one hundred eighty-four thousand dollars, and what struck me was not the price, which at this point is simply a number the way all numbers here are simply numbers, and not the ingredient, which is a fact about her body used as currency, which is exactly what she does with every fact about herself: she prices it. What struck me was the basil. The basil is so ordinary. The basil is so deliberate. Mistress Lynne does not do anything without intention, and the instruction to serve her blood over pasta with fresh basil from the kitchen garden means she wants the sacred and the domestic in the same bowl. She wants you to eat something holy and feel completely at home doing it. The cage around me right now, steel against everything it presses, weighs about as much as the first course costs in grams. That is not a useful observation. I am making it anyway. I am in here doing math because Chef Anthony wrote a menu that I cannot stop thinking about, and thinking is the only currency I have left in a denomination I am not yet required to surrender.

The second course is where Chef Anthony earns his salary, which I am certain is substantial and which I am equally certain comes partially out of whatever I paid last Tuesday, though no one will confirm this for me and I have stopped asking. Slaves fitted with sounding rods funneling their own precum over scallops. Tongues only. No hands. I have thought about this for approximately forty-eight hours and I keep arriving at the same place: the course is not designed for the scallops. The course is designed to make a certain kind of man understand that his arousal is an ingredient now. It is pantry stock. It is plating. The kitchen has a use for what happens inside you and Chef Anthony has organized it into a three-star experience, which means Mistress Lynne sat across from him at some point in this amethyst underground and said yes, serve that, I want that on the table, and he nodded and wrote it into the menu with a straight face and all of us will pay for it in ways that have not finished revealing themselves. The main course is a tenderloin served on a living slave's back while Mistress Lynne reaches into the tray-bearer from behind, gloved, commanding stillness. Every nerve in the man's body is screaming to move and he cannot. The platter must be level. The wine must not spill. I want you to understand something about that requirement: it is not cruelty dressed as dinner theater. It is precision. Mistress Lynne is not performing control. She already has it. The performance is yours — it is you, proving you can hold a platter of meat steady while her hand is inside you in this long, low, violet-lit dining room that smells of beeswax and the money that built it. The cage on me now is indifferent to all of this. It does not register my interest. That is part of the design and I am, despite everything, a man who can respect a good design.

Here is what I actually want, which I am writing here because the Narcissist Cave has exactly one window and it faces an interior wall the color of dried lavender, and the only honest thing I have done since checking in is occasionally tell the truth when I think no one important is reading. I want to be the platter. Not the dessert platter, though the image of nine men eating strawberries off my shoulders with their tongues while three others are fucked in the amethyst candlelight is not something I am going to pretend I have not been living with for two days. I mean the main course. I want to be the man holding the tenderloin level while Mistress Lynne uses her hand inside me at the head of a table of watching men, all of them in their cages, all of them paying to be here, all of them understanding in their specific documented psychological failure patterns why they cannot stop. I want that because she would know exactly what it does to me. She would know I spent thirty years constructing a self that could not be held still, could not be made to serve, could not be reduced to a surface — and then she would put her gloved hand inside that self and use it to serve dinner and she would know, she would know completely, that I am more aroused by her knowing than by anything that is physically happening to my body. My kink is not the submission. My kink is that she sees through the submission to the man who needed this, who is horrified by needing this, who would pay one million dollars just to come once and who has not yet paid it and who is therefore still locked inside a steel cage in a plum-walled room writing about a dinner he was not invited to, fully erect in the specific way that the cage makes full erection a sustained and architectural humiliation. The one million dollar Cum Contract exists. I have read it. I have not signed it. I am Marcus Vale and I am telling you I have not signed it as though that means I am still winning something, and I am telling you that in a voice that sounds, even to me, like a man who is going to sign it.
